For a robotic arm motion, use the object near the base as the main

parent for all structures. To create a parenting relation, you must select

at least two objects. The last object selected (Active Object) will always

be the parent.

Starting with the top two objects, select the child, and while holding the

SHIFT key, select the parent. Press the CTRL+P keys to create a parent

and child relation (Figure 7.22).

Suppose you make a mistake, press ALT+P to break the connection.

How to verify the parenting? Simple, select the parent, and apply a

rotation. You will see the child object following the same rotation from a

parent.

All child objects follow transformations from their parents. Repeat the
